Deor Bektashi

Deor earned his Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University where he dedicated his studies on biomechanics and rehabilitation science. While there, he volunteered at the David Braly Sport Medicine and Rehabilitation Centre as a physiotherapy assistant where his passion for helping people actively improve their health and well-being began to grow. He then went on to complete his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto, gaining quality experience in geriatric, traumatic, and orthopaedic rehabilitation.

Deor values developing personal rehab goals through a collaborative, patient-centred approach and utilizes education, manual therapy, and a personalized exercise program in his treatments to meet those goals. Deor has a keen interest in manual therapy and pain and has plans to further his education through the AIM physiotherapy program and in the areas of pain science and biomechanics. He currently holds his level I certification from the AIM physiotherapy program.

Outside of work, Deor enjoys hiking with his family dog Penny, hanging out with his friends, learning to play guitar, playing basketball, or working out!
